Our Story

Our Story

It all started in May 2011 when Bradley, for the record, messaged Paige first on Facebook. This was all thanks to Paige’s cousin Caroline. She was FULLY convinced that we were meant to be together, she might have been a tiny bit right about that one. She had never given up hope that one day, her matchmaking skills would work. Cleary they did because here we are, sitting down together, writing out our 10-year long story of missed connections that just proves that anything that is meant to be, will be.

Our story officially starts with our first (supervised) date at the famous Lazy Dog in Lynn. It wasn’t long before I went to a few of Bradley’s baseball games, and not too long after that, we “dated” for one day before I decided the timing wasn’t right (sorry Bradley…)

After high school, Bradley and I went our separate ways. I moved to Alabama where I attended a local community college in a small town, before transferring to the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Bradley stayed more local and attended Bridgewater State University. During college, Bradley and his friend Cody needed to build some flight time so they set off on an adventure from upstate New York, all the way down to New Orleans. It just so happened that they stopped for gas in the SAME small town where I was living down in Alabama. We didn’t realize this until recently, but felt it is just one of those stories that needs to be shared.

Finally, after a ten-year hiatus, we meet again, kinda…

Bradley and some friends were out at a bar when they ran into Caroline who immediately said “you should reach out to Paige.” Bradley mentioned how we already tried and it would be no use. Caroline, in the most Caroline way, said “you guys were like 10 years old.” Probably a fair point. Bradley said to have Paige reach out if she was interested. Little did he know Caroline was also texting me demanding me to message Bradley.

A week later, Bradley was at a Red Sox game when he received a message from the one, the only… Paige!! He was so shocked that he couldn’t figure out what to say but eventually was able to respond and the rest was history.

A few days later, Bradley picked me up for our first official date and off we went to the driving range. It was during this time that Bradley should have known what he was getting into, considering I decided to stay out in the downpour and continue to hit balls while everyone else ran for cover. He did indeed stay out in the rain with me and it is by far one of our favorite moments together. This was only the beginning of our date night that went on for hours, finding any excuse to hang out a little bit longer.

It wasn’t long before we were attached at the hip. Bradley’s job made hanging out a bit hard but that didn’t stop us from spending every second together when he was home. From visiting him in Minneapolis when he was working, to him flying home for less than 24 hours for my birthday, we made the most of the time we had. We have been able to create so many memories traveling together, and cannot wait to see what the rest of our lives bring.
